Born in Southern California, grew up in a sleeping bag in the woods of Northern Idaho and the small college town of Pullman, Washington amongst other places. As a freshman in
high school he became the sports photographer for the local newspaper
until he moved to Portland, Oregon to attend the Pacific Northwest
College of Art and the Fine Art School in Chongqing, Sichuan in the
People's Republic of China, where he studied sculpture and traditional
Chinese painting. He received a BA in Fine Arts from P.N.C.A in
1989. After working as the projectionist at the North West Film center
for 9 years and as Assistant Editor on the Gus VanSant movie, " My Own
Private Idaho" he moved to Los Angeles in 1990 to work with union
camera crews on features, commercials and music videos. Such as "The
Hollars", "Knocked Up" and "21 And Over" and the TV show
"Grimm" He is retired from working in the film business.
