Tody Bernard was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and graduated from Port
Allen High School. He attended Nicholls State University and graduated
in 1980 with a B.A. in Theatre and English with emphasis in acting and
directing. He won the Best Actor Award at NSU in 1980.
He has been married to Berthilde Coles Bernard since 1985, and they have resided in Los Angeles since 1990. Tody is a former member of Lonny Chapman's Group Repertory Theatre in Burbank where he appeared in a number of productions from 1990 to 1994.
