- Was an all-pro wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders in the 70's and 80's and set numerous records, including most successive games with a catch, which stood for years.
- Played for the Oakland Raiders (1965-1978).
- Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1988.
- Worked with Nick Nolte in North Dalla Forty. Nolte used Biletnikoff's signature stance at the line of scrimmage as well as his classic foot work on many pass routes.
- Won Super Bowl XI MVP with the Oakland Raiders. Caught 4 passes for 79 yards, three of which set up Raider touchdowns.
- After winning Super Bowl MVP, he was awarded a new car, which he immediately gave to his father.
