Most memorable performance is that of the harried vocal coach of the second Mrs. Kane (Dorothy Commigore) in "Citizen Kane." Bonanova was over forty five years old when the film was made and Welles was only twenty six.
Bonanova and Mona Maris were originally cast as Emperor Louis Napoleon and Empress Eugenie in "The Song of Bernadette," but the scenes were discarded, and the scenes were re-filmed with Jerome Cowan and Patricia Morison.
