- He received an Obie Award, Best Ensemble, for The Living Theatre's Off Broadway play The Brig directed by Judith Malina. The Brig ran for ten months and toured Europe.
- He was nominated for a Times Higher Education Award for Howard Barker's Blok/Eko play by The Wrestling School Theatre Company at the Northcott Theatre in Exeter, UK.
- Supports Surfrider, Save the Turtles and Defenders of Wildlife.
- He ran track and field for the University of Exeter. He competed for Exeter at the London Marathon BUCS championship. A calf injury forced him to pull out at thirteen miles.
- He sailed with two mates a 38ft. sailboat seventeen hundred nautical miles from Corfu, Greece via the Strait of Messina,Formentera, Minorca, Mallorca, Ibiza and Port Camargue, France.
