Scott Borden is an actor, writer and podcaster widely recognized as MasterCard's Priceless "Dancing Intern" (300 million Super Bowl, Academy Awards, and Grammy Awards viewers). He can be seen as ZOA's "Fist Bump Guy" opposite Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in the megastar's popular 'Big Dwayne Energy' campaign, Borden can next be seen as Max Greenfield's schlubby pal Howard in Mindy Kaling's new basketball comedy series Running Point on Netflix, starring Kate Hudson. He returns to the streamer after appearing as Jamie Foxx's clueless neighbor Chad Connolly in the Academy Award winner's multi-camera sitcom Dad, Stop Embarrassing Me. Borden previously guested on YouTube Premium/Above Average Liza Koshy half hour comedy "Liza on Demand" and appeared as Kyra Sedgwick's klutzy cameraman on the ABC drama Ten Days in the Valley. Other high-profile national ad campaigns include Capital One's prolific 'What's in Your Wallet?' opposite Alec Baldwin and sports legend Charles Barkley, AT&T, Bacardi, BellSouth, the NFL, and Centre Partners Management restaurants.
Borden recently expanded his footprint in the theatre scene with his award-winning 2023 production of Stephen Sondheim's comedy classic, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," which was nominated for six Broadway World Awards including Best Musical, Best Ensemble, and Best Performer in a Musical and Best Direction of a Musical for Borden. The limited engagement at Los Angeles' Barnsdall Art Park took home the award for Best Special Event. Having appeared in nearly 30 productions in the region, savvy Southern California theatergoers know Borden as a high-stakes performer and sure bet in stage comedy. His experimental musical 'Exposing Myself' ran for 12 weeks at the iconic Comedy Central Stage. LA Weekly hailed the production as "hilarious, wildly imaginative and hysterically offensive," adding that "Borden, our lovable schnook hero, demonstrates tremendous skill as a comedic performer, rapidly firing off sly one-liners and crisply portraying his character with a sharp, self-deprecating humor like a Matthew Perry-Jack Black hybrid."
During the pandemic he launched the popular virtual play reading series "Sunday Play Days," a monthly live streaming event providing actors nationwide with acting, directing and producing opportunities and the ability to maintain genuine connections with friends, families and industry professionals. Borden's short films have screened in festivals throughout Southern California, and his content has been featured on popular sites including Funny or Die and College Humor. His unique perspectives have landed appearances on BuzzFeed, Good Day Live, Entertainment Tonight, The Huffington Post, and NBC Nightly News. He also guests on various comedy and political podcasts. His upcoming social media-fueled podcast "The Lovable Lunatic" premieres this summer and combines satirical social commentary, alternative comedy, road trips, and in-depth discussions on important issues. Borden has also begun workshopping new material for his next full-length autobiographical project in stand-up comedy clubs including The Laugh Factory and The Improv.
