“Smelly Cat” is undoubtedly one of the most iconic musical moments of modern classic sitcom “Friends” and now, thanks to the HBO Max reunion special, the ditty has been updated for a whole new generation of fans.
It wasn’t quite a remix, but Lady Gaga added her signature belt to the closest thing to a hit Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow) ever had.
Kudrow first sang “Smelly Cat” on the second season of “Friends,” in an episode entitled “The One With the Baby on the Bus.” The actor sat down on the recreated coffeehouse set to strum the tune almost 26 years since that first performance during “Friends: The Reunion.” She noted she should “be Phoebe for this” and sang the first verse alone. But, a simple trip down memory lane got a boost of star power when Gaga popped into Central Perk, guitar in hand, and joined Kudrow in the rendition of the song.

Updated 11:15 Am: Whitney Cummings will not be back as executive producer/co-showrunner of Roseanne for the show’s 13-episode eleventh season, with executive producer/co-showrunner Bruce Helford taking the reigns as the sole showrunner.
“Whitney just had too much on her plate to commit,” Helford told Deadline. “But she’s always a part of the Roseanne family.”
Cummings later confirmed the news on Twitter. “Working on Roseanne was a surreal, incredible experience,” she wrote. “Due to work commitments and my tour schedule, I’m gonna have to watch the Connors from the sidelines next season. It was an honor to work with such an incredible group of actors, writers and crew. Harry Levin, you can stop calling my cell phone now.”
Returning as writers on the show are Wanda Sykes and Norm MacDonald as well as veteran Roseanne alumni Bruce Rasmussen, Dave Caplan, Sid Youngers and Betsy Borns, all...

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have set up two comedy projects, one at CW with Jack & Jill creator Randi Mayem Singer and one at ABC with Betsy Borns, who co-created All of Us with the couple.
The untitled CW project, from CBS Paramount Network TV and Overbrook Entertainment, is a single-camera half-hour about a group of mostly divorced mothers who live in a large apartment complex. From the point of view of a security guard who patrols the area, it focuses on the women's child-rearing problems and their dating lives.
"It's about making lunch and making love," Singer said.
Singer was one of several writers approached with the concept, a brainchild of Pinkett Smith, and she immediately responded.
"Single moms are nothing new, but it was the idea to set it in one of these communities that made it cohesive to me," Singer said. "The (apartment) development will be a character in the show in the way that New York City was a character in 'Sex and the City.' "
Singer is writing the project, which has received a script commitment from the network.

Emmy-winning director-producer Mimi Leder has inked an overall deal with UPN to develop, produce and possibly direct series projects for the Viacom-owned network. Said UPN entertainment president Dawn Ostroff: "This season we have been able to attract great talent in (Bill Oakley) and (Josh Weinstein,) David Greenwalt, Betsy Borns, Will (Smith) and Jada Pinkett Smith), and I think that now, starting off the next development season, making a deal with somebody of Mimi Leder's caliber really sets us off on the right foot and is really taking us to the next level, continuing where we left off last development season. She has an incredibly creative mind where she adds so much to every project that she has been involved with."...
