- Son of St. Clair Bourne.
- Prior to his untimely death in 2007, St. Clair Bourne had agreed to join the documentary film project Brushes With(out) Fame as a Director. Mr. Bourne was not only an associate of Producer Don Mizell, but also a friend of the uncle of Producer Ruth Rachel Anderson-Avraham, Dr. Bernard Bradley Anderson, brother-in-law to L.A. Rebellion filmmaker Haile Gerima.
- In 1989 he was shopping around a script trying to raise $25MM to make his first fiction film. The subject was Amistad. He discussed the project with Debbie Allen who brought the idea to Steven Spielberg.
