- David Cronenberg named the Seth Brundle character played by Jeff Goldblum in The Fly (1986) after him. In the sequel, The Fly II (1989), Seth's son was named Martin and was played by Eric Stoltz.
- Is good friends with former F1 teammate and ITV - Formula One (1997) colleague Mark Blundell. Together they set up 2MB Sports Management, a management service for racing drivers, in 2005.
- Parents: John (d.1996) and Alma. Siblings: Robin and Helen.
- Managed David Coulthard from 1998 until his retirement in 2008.
- His career really caught fire in 1983 when Ayrton Senna's chief adversary in Formula 3. True, the mercurial Brazilian won the opening nine rounds but Brundle stood resolute and took the title fight to the final round. In all, Brundle won seven races in Eddie Jordan's Ralt RT3-Toyota and enhanced his reputation immeasurably.
- Has one daughter, Charlotte - nicknamed Charlie (b.c.1987); and has one son, Alex (b.1990), who races in Formula Two, following in his father's footsteps.
- Ex-Formula One racing driver, who raced for Tyrrell (1984 (7 GPs Disqualified)-1985 (15 GPs)-1986), Zakspeed (1987), Williams (1988 (1 GP)), Brabham (1989 (14 GPs), 1991 (14 GPs)), Benetton (1992), Ligier (1993), (1995 (11 GPs)), McLaren (1994) and Jordan (1996). Martin Brundle started 158 Grands Prix, 9 Podiums and 98 Points.
