Seven Newtown police officers, who were the first responders to the tragic Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, have spoken out to the press for the first time since that horrific day. Read the emotional words they kept repeating to comfort the shaken little kids.

Frankie Boyle has been criticised after making a joke about the Soham murders. In a webcast on MySpace to promote his book, the comedian said that his dream chatshow guest would be Ian Huntley, who murdered ten-year-old girls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in 2002. According to the Daily Record, host Will Chapman flinched and looked uncomfortable as Boyle said he would ask Huntley to "talk us through what happened". Boyle added: "He's everyone's dream guest, you know. It's just no-one can say it."
