- Composer, author, conductor, cornetist and teacher, educated in public schools. He was a cornet soloist in bands at Ontario Beach, but he played and instructed all brass instruments and also violin and viola at the Toronto Conservatory. He was a member of Patrick Gilmore's New York band, F. N. Innes' Band, and the 7th Regimental Band (under Victor Herbert). He made four European tours with John Philip Sousa as a cornet soloist and assistant conductor. He directed the Anglo-Canadian Concert Band in Huntesville, Ontario from 1918-1923, and the Municipal Band in Long Beach, California between 1923-1943. He joined ASCAP in 1938, and his instrumental compositions include "King of the Deep", "Birth of Dawn", "Youth Dauntless", "Sounds From the Deep", and the cornet trio feature "Flirtations".- IMDb Mini Biography By: Hup234!
