[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Outlander Season 7, Episode 3, “Death Be Not Proud.”] After Outlander‘s fiery cliffhanger at the end of Season 7’s second episode, “The Happiest Place on Earth,” fans finally learned the fates of Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) and their Fraser’s Ridge settlers after Wendigo Donner (Brennan Martin) set the big house ablaze. As viewers will recall, Wendigo was searching for a gem so he could travel through the stones back to his own time, but in searching for the fine item, Arch (Hugh Ross) and Murdina Bug (Sarah Collier) handed over a piece of metal Jamie recognized as the lost Jacobite gold. The opening scene of Starz’s Outlander season seven episode three shows a delivery man dropping off a chest with the name Jeremiah Alexander Ian Fraser MacKenzie emblazoned on the lid. We’re left hanging for just a moment as “The Skye Boat Song” plays, and then it’s revealed that the chest has been kept in a bank vault for 200 years.
It’s presented to Roger (Richard Rankin) and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) who, by the way, look terrific in ‘80s attire and new hairstyles. After revealing that Mandy’s doing great, Fiona Graham Buchan (Iona Claire) – who’s happy to have them back – gives them time alone to open the chest. Inside are a musket ball and scores of letters written to Brianna from Jamie and Claire.
The first letter she opens is dated April 1776, and Jamie assures her they’re alive.

After keeping us in Fraser’s Ridge for multiple seasons — featuring a slew of frustrating but not always interesting villains, and at the cusp of the Revolutionary War — “Outlander” Season 7 feels like a breath of fresh air.
The season premiere begins where we’ve been before: a determined Jamie (Sam Heughan) with Ian (John Bell) at his side, out to save his beloved Claire (Caitríona Balfe) from being tried for the death of Malva Christie (Jessica Reynolds). Claire, meanwhile, does what she can to survive — and she has truly perfected the art of keeping her wits about her while facing impending doom.
But unlike other seasons that bludgeoned and violated our heroine in unnecessarily graphic ways, we’re given a respite here. Instead, Claire’s looming trial and potential execution are delayed in part thanks to her skills as a doctor and because of the era’s political unrest, with Jamie always one step behind.

Outlander fans – the wait is almost over… A bevy of Heughan’s Heughligans and the many other excited and eager fans gathered last week for the Outlander Season 6 Premiere at London’s Royal Festival Hall. Attending were Sam Heughan, Richard Rankin, Sophie Skelton, Caitlin O’Ryan, Jessica Reynolds, Alex Vlahos, Joanne Thomson, Alistair Findlay, Paul Gorman, Mark Lewis Jones, Cesar Domboy, Lauren Lyle, Chris Larkin, Sarah Collier, Hugh Ross and Andrew Gower.
The sixth season of “Outlander” sees a continuation of Claire and Jamie’s fight to protect those they love, as they navigate the trials and tribulations of life in colonial America. Establishing a home in the New World is by no means an easy task, particularly in the wild backcountry of North Carolina – and perhaps most significantly – during a period of dramatic political upheaval.
On the red carpet the cast discussed the long wait for Season 6, with #DroughtLander coming up more than once.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched the fourth episode of Season 5 of “Outlander,” entitled “The Company We Keep.”
After the horror show at the Beardsleys’ cabin in last week’s “Outlander” episode, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) found themselves heading out to rejoin the militia with an infant in tow. They caught up with Roger (Richard Rankin), Fergus (Cesar Domboy) and the rest of the men in Brownsville where all hell had broken loose.
It all started because one of Jamie’s men, Isaiah Morton (Jon Tarcy), had an affair with Alicia Brown (Anna Burnett), the daughter of Lionel Brown (Ned Dennehy) and niece of Richard Brown (Chris Larkin), the men for whom Brownsville is named. Her father disapproved not only because Alicia and Isaiah weren’t married, but also because he lost out on the dowry her betrothed had promised the family.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched the fourth episode of Season 5 of “Outlander,” entitled “The Company We Keep.”
This season on “Outlander,” while Jamie (Sam Heughan), Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Roger (Richard Rankin) have been off forming a militia to fight the Regulators’ uprising, a new friendship has been forming back on Fraser’s Ridge between Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and Marsali (Lauren Lyle).
In the fifth episode of Season 5, entitled “The Company We Keep,” Brianna became increasingly scared about Jemmy’s safety after they returned from a trip into town and she found a coin in his bassinet. Mrs. Bug (Sarah Collier) informed Bree that it was some nice Irish man who said Jemmy was “very handsome,” but Bree knew immediately it had to have been Stephen Bonnet (Ed Speleers), whom she is worried might try to have a part in Jemmy’s life.
