The executive exodus at ABC Family continues with the departure of the cable channel's No. 2 boss, Tom Cosgrove. Formerly executive vp at ABC Family, Cosgrove left last week to pursue opportunities outside the company, a spokeswoman said. He is the latest in a string of programming chiefs to exit ABC Family as the ABC Cable Networks Group assumes complete oversight of the network, which used to operate separately inside the Walt Disney Co. A six-year veteran of the network who came over to Disney when the company acquired Fox Family Worldwide in 2001, Cosgrove oversaw acquisitions, scheduling and other day-to-day management issues at ABC Family. Cosgrove was instrumental in adding several first-run syndication offerings to the schedule, including "Gilmore Girls".
