Rose Custer has produced award winning film and video work. She has
been the recipient of two Nell Shipman Awards for production
excellence, two bronze "Telly" awards as producer/director, and her
co-production, Pike Place Market: Soul of the City, garnered an Emmy
Award.
Her experience has encompassed all aspects of the industry, from development through post production of film and video. At ShadowCatcher Entertainment, she assisted the production of programming for release within the digital interactive, feature film and television arenas. Through ShadowCatcher, she met and did research for Pulitzer Prize winning script author, Robert Schenkkan, for his screenplay realized in the film "The Quiet American," starring Michael Caine and Brendan Fraser.
She has freelanced as Producer, Director and Production Manager in feature and commercial film, video, and television, national television commercials.
Most recently she's completed the IFP 2011 Spotlight Award winning short film "Forced Entry", a black comedy directed by Joe Jacobs (Associate Producer of the Sundance hit "Cataclysm").
Born in the Pacific Northwest, Rose identifies closely with both this region and her Italian heritage, having learned the language during stays in the Friuli-Venezia-Guilia region of Italy.
Her passion is documentary filmmaking, and her desire is to use her skills in film production to create projects that make a difference and effect social change.
She has two brothers, Richard and Tim, and she lives in Seattle with her Austrailian Shepherds, Sophia and Maurice.
