- Haye van der Heyden was born on February 20, 1957 in De Bilt, Utrecht, Netherlands. He is a writer and actor, known for Gebak van Krul (2009), Beppie (1989) and 't Andere Net (1984).
- Son-in-law of Allard van der Scheer.
- While working as head of Research and Development at John de Mol productions, he came up with the title for the worldwide hit reality show Big Brother (1999).
- When asked to add the TV series Baantjer (1995) to his busy writing schedule, he chose to use the pseudonym "Pieke Daalders". This was to indicate that he only took the job for the money ('piek' being slang for a guilder and 'daalder' for a 2.50 coin). However he enjoyed writing for Baantjer so much that he eventually began writing under his own name.
