Spanning more than two decades, Don Daniel's diverse career in the
entertainment industry began when he produced a series of benefit rock
concerts in Atlanta for "Project Hospital Inc." which raised funds for
a mobile hospital in Bangladesh. He moved from there to WRAS-FM Atlanta
where, as General Manager, the station grew prosperous, popular, and
its market share went through the roof. After creating the 1st
quadraphonic radio and television simulcast and the multi award winning
show: Atlanta Music Scene, Daniel moved to Los Angeles and attended the
American Film Institute. During his second year at the AFI, Daniel
produced the internationally award-winning graduate thesis film, The
Expert, directed by Donald Petrie.
Daniel has worked in various management capacities on hundreds of film and television productions. He has been brought in by bonding & insurance companies as well as independent financing entities from Geneva to Tokyo to watch over productions. One of the many projects Daniel supervised was the motion picture Evita in Hungary, Argentina and England for Cinema Completions.
Daniel served as Vice President of Production for Shower, a Tokyo /Los Angeles production company, as well as Head of Production for Viola, a Beverly Hills based production company. Another highlight of Daniel's diverse career was producing a ten-camera, 35mm feature film documentary for Stevie Wonder's In The Circle Square Madison Square Garden concert.
Daniel is on the faculty of Boston University and has taught at Emerson College and Chapman University. He a member of the Directors Guild of America and a founding member of the Digital Cinema Society.
