A well-known Danish journalist and author. After journalistic training
he was employed by Danmarks Radio as a foreign affairs reporter,
becoming a familiar face for viewers of TV-Avisen (1965). From 1984 to 1988 he
was the station's Moscow correspondent, which proved a major
inspiration to him. While continuing to work for DR in Copenhagen, he
began a career as an author of fiction in the genre of political
thrillers, with Russia and USSR as a major subject. His novels include
"Den russiske sangerinde", "Den serbiske dansker" and "Lime's billede",
all of which have been adapted to film. After concluding his work as a
news reporter, he worked on the documentary series _"Danske drømme" (1998) (mini)_ between 1996
to 1998 and has since been self-employed as an author and a freelance
journalist. Over the years he has written numerous columns and
contributed to several anthololgy books about Denmark and the
world.
