- In December 1962, she married Albert N. Zdenek, MD, a founder of Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles. As Marilee Zdenek, she authored a series of non-fiction books, beginning in 1972 and initially published by McGraw-Hill. In 1995, she up her own publishing company, Two Roads Publishing.
