Second son of 34th President of United States of America, Dwight D. Eisenhower and Mamie Eisenhower. He had a brother, born before him. Doud Dwight Eisenhower born in 1917 but died of scarlet fever in 1921.
Father of David Eisenhower (b. 31 March 1948 in West Point), Barbara Anne Eisenhower (b. 30 May 1949 in West Point), Susan Eisenhower (b. 31 December 1951 in Fort Knox) and Mary Jean Eisenhower (b. 21 December 1955 in Washington).
He attended West Point in an accelerated wartime program. He graduated on June 6, 1944 - by coincidence, the date of the allied invasion of Normandy overseen by his father.
After WWII, he taught English at West Point, and received a masters degree from Columbia University.
He saw combat with the Third Infantry Division during the Korean conflict. He received the Combat Infantryman's Badge and the Bronze Star.
Later in life, he wrote several history books and biographies.
