Others who submit petitions can also run for the eight open seats provided they submit 25 signatures from current members in support of their nomination by July 21. Of the 17 candidates nominated by the WGAW nominating committee, three are incumbents - Aaron Mendelsohn, John Bowman and Ron Bass. The others are Robin Schiff, Nancy De Los Santos, Warren Hutcherson, Maya Forbes, Jose Rivera, Dawn Prestwich, John Wirth, Naren Shankar, Barbara Esensten, Karen Harris, David Goodman, Saladin Patterson, Mark Gunn and Hollis Rich.
