Tom Cruise will reteam with his "Valkyrie" co-writer and producer Christopher McQuarrie According to sources, the writer is now apparently working on three post-"Valkyrie" projects which are being designed for Cruise to star in. McQuarrie and Mason Alley to write "Flying Tigers" for New Regency. The film is based on the volunteer fighter squadron assembled to help the Chinese take on the Japanese before the U.S. came into World War II. Although Cruise isn't formally attached, he's wanted to take to the skies again since his "Top Gun" days and, in fact, several years ago was attached to star in "The Few," a Paramount project about the first American pilots to battle Germans in the second World War. Michael Mann was set to helm the script by John Logan. Valkyrie opens on Christmas Day. Read our review of the Bryan Singer film here. We see him early on in the film trying to salvage the campaign in North Africa. Tragedy struck when enemy fire hit the vehicle he was in and he lost his right hand, left eye and two fingers on his left hand. The time in the hospital made...
