Discovery’s Travel Channel is searching for ghosts following its rebrand rather than focusing on traditional travelogues.
The network rebranded at the end of last year with a new logo – Trvl – and has launched a raft of paranormal series including Ghost Adventures, Haunted Live, specials including Chris Jericho: Monster Hunt and month-long event Ghostober.
Its latest series is Portals to Hell starring Jack Osboune and paranormal researcher and investigator Katrina Weidman.
Travel Channel boss Jane Latman told Deadline, “You can see from the logo that we’re trying to redefine what travel is for today’s audience. We have a saying in our development room which is ‘if you can find it on YouTube or Yelp, let’s not make a TV show about it’. We’re really trying to redefine the brand for today.”
Osbourne also joked to Deadline, “We also went to eight different cities.”

If you thought tabloids were invasive wait until you see the new work from pop culture savvy sculptor-provocateur Daniel Edwards. The sculptor has previously portrayed Britney Spears giving birth, Suri Cruise mid-bowel movement and Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber nude and attached at the hip. Now Edwards is turning his attention to the two most anticipated babies in town, baby Kimye and the royal heir.
Baby Kimye And The Royal Heir by Daniel Edwards, Courtesy of Cory Allen Contemporary Art
His new work, aptly dubbed "Baby Kimye and the Royal Heir," uses leaked 3D ultrasounds from Kim Kardashian and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton to predict the privileged bundles of joy. Edwards, who takes inspiration from baby photography hero Anne Geddes, portrays little Kimye with little Ks shaved into her head, while the Royal Heir gets a massive crown. We bet Blue Ivy is feeling really left out right now.

Despite a similar place within the visual medium, films about photography and photographers aren.t as numerous as one might think. (And honestly, how terrible would an Anne Geddes flick be?) But a biopic about famed Jewish-Hungarian war photographer Robert Capa has been in the works for years, and hasn.t always been limited to just one project. Close Enough looks to be close enough to production that we.ll assume this is the version we.ll see first. If it gets its cast straight, however. It was only a couple of days ago that we found out Tom Hiddleston joined the cast, replacing the previously announced Andrew Garfield for the lead role. And now Screen Daily reports Hayley Atwell has signed on to play Hiddleston.s partner, replacing Gemma Arterton in the role. It is set to be directed by Paul Andrew Williams, whose career has taken him from...

Those of you who are familiar with the absolutely incredible work of horror photographer Joshua Hoffine know that his creations are quite simply nightmares captured by his lens. And for you new to Hoffine, think of him as Anne Geddes meets ... oh, I don't know ... Satan.
Check out Hoffine's newest project, Persephone.
We've got your first look at Persephone, inspired by Greek mythology, below. Included are the finished images from the photo shoot as well as a load of behind-the-scenes shots. (You'll be sure to notice the dreadlocked coiffure of Beki Ingram, stand-out contestant on Syfy's F/X show "Face/Off," working on the set.)
But instead of us telling you about how amazing Hoffine is, take a look for yourself. Check out the Persephone images, and if you dig what you see, head on over to the official Joshua Hoffine website, where you'll be able to see lots more...

We could have easily pulled Betty White’s 90 most adorable photos in honor of her 90th birthday today. Everyone’s favorite Golden Girl (sorry, Bea Arthur!) has the cuteness factor of Selena Gomez pushing a baby carriage full of puppies in sailor hats down the aisle of a store that only sells Anne Geddes books. She’s so cute that prolonged exposure to her face eventually results in being unable to do anything but stare at the computer screen and make a noise that sounds something like “GooOooOoooOOOoooo.” So, in order to keep our jobs, we capped it at just 20. We hope you understand.
But it’s true, the ageless and timeless actress turns the big 9-0 today, and she’s just as with sassy as ever. And now we’d like to pay tribute to our honorary grandma in the gallery below. Rock on, Betty!

Though they’ve been married for over three years now, it’s still a little bit difficult to believe that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are an actual couple. Perhaps it was the lack of public courtship or the sudden nature of their wedding, but there’s still a moment of, “Oh right, they’re married” every time they’re brought up.
On top of that, they’ve procreated! In fact, twins Morocco and Monroe (who are nicknamed, no joke, “Rock” and “Roe”) made their television debut last night on ABC’s 20/20. Barbara Walters sat the couple down and tilted...

Lady Gaga wore Thierry Mugler (no clue) to the 2011 Cfda Awards last night, where was honored as a Fashion Icon. What that means is that she was rewarded for dressing like your very rich, very crazy aunt who also thinks wigs are “funky.” It also means that your kooky Aunt Stefani is totally cool with showing off her boobies because Why The F Not? Before you see what Gaga used to actually cover up her nips (before an honest-to-goodness nip slip), check out what she did not use. Anne Geddes Babies: Hostess Sno Balls Ninja Throwing Stars Tiny ugly holiday sweaters Jim Varney’s face What did Gaga actually use to cover her nips? Dots! But then she actually showed them off, although we can’t post that here, but if you want to see Gaga’s tatas, enjoy. [via Splash News Online]...

Mortal Kombat may be most (in)famous for its gore-drenched fatalities, but there were plenty of other humiliating ways to finish your opponent at the end of a match. Perhaps the most infamous were the Babalities, where you would morph your opponent from a deadly Kombatant to a blubbering baby. Well, it looks like the new Mortal Kombat hasn't forgotten these infantile maneuvers, and has decided to bring back the Babalities in full force. Check out the video compilation from our pals at G4 after the break. While I may not have kids of my own (that I know of), I gotta admit the Mortal Kombat babies are pretty adorable in their own demented little way…like an Anne Geddes calendar gone horribly, horribly wrong. ...

After snapping pictures of babies for over 20 years, award-winning photographer Anne Geddes has learned plenty of tricks.
She’s captured babies sleeping, cradled in their parents hands, playing in costume and more in her ever-popular photo books.
Geddes shares her passion once again in her new tome, Beginnings ($50), which examines the symbiotic relationship between nature and newborns.
“Babies are the human face of beginnings,” she says. “Every time I unwrap a newborn, even after all these years of photographing them, I am aware of the miracle before me.”
Lucky for us, Geddes has decided to share her expertise.

Celebrity fave Epicuren is branching out — to babies! The luxe skincare brand recently debuted a brand new Epicuren Baby line with help from celebrity photographer Anne Geddes, who shot the cover art for each package.
For bath time, try the aromatic bath wash ($14). The scent and ingredients — which are naturally derived and primarily organic — not only protect and soothe fragile skin, but also work to calm baby and her frazzled parents!
The collection may be small, but it’s thorough, also featuring baby lotion ($15.50) and our absolute favorite diaper spray ($13). Sold in a 2.4 ounce spray bottle, it seals out wetness and germs,...
