- In February 1949, she married gangster Johnny Stompanato, bodyguard of infamous mobster Mickey Cohen. The marriage only lasted until July that year. Stompanato later died at the hands of Lana Turner's daughter Cheryl Crane. She stabbed him to death during a violent fight between him and Turner in which Crane believed he was going to kill her mother.
- Was an accomplished cellist. Performing at the Hollywood Bowl, she was discovered by Herbert Stothart, who made her a member of the MGM orchestra.
- In the 1940s she worked for such major studios as RKO and Paramount, but also for such minor studios as Monogram and Lippert.
