Amazon Prime has picked up U.S. rights to two-part documentary “Cuba: The Revolution and the World,” produced by the U.K.’s Brook Lapping and France’s Temps Noir.
The U.S. deal is one of a swathe of global sales for the BBC and Arte France-commissioned history of Cuba’s revolution, which is being repped by Arte Distribution.
National Geographic U.S. has also picked up the doc for Nat Geo Mundo, its Spanish Language channel in the U.S.
Other territories include: TV Hk in Hong Kong; Fox Latin America, covering all Latin America; Hrt in Croatia; Dr in Denmark; Planete Plus in Poland; Rtp in Portugal; Vrt in Flemish Belgium; and Sky Arte in Italy.
These deals add to pre-sales with Svt in Sweden, CBC/Société Radio Canada, and Nrk in Norway, along with the original partners Arte in France and the BBC in the U.

Cuba: The Revolution And The World tells the story of how Fidel Castro and his compatriots changed the world, speaking to those involved in the country’s history, including Cubans, Russians and Americans.

BBC Four has announced a special season of programming to celebrate the blues.
The season will retrace the history of the music genre and explore its place in American culture from the 20th Century and beyond.
Two-part series Blues America is produced by Mick Gold and narrated by Fun Lovin' Criminals star Huey Morgan, who made headlines earlier this week after smashing a mug and storming off set during an appearance on Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
The first programme, Woke Up This Morning will air on November 29 at 9pm. It charts the development of the blues from its roots in minstrel and medicine shows into a commercial industry.
Contributors including Keith Richards, Taj Mahal and Chuck D will discuss key moments in the blues rising.
The second offering Bright Lights, Big City includes insights from Bonnie Raitt, Seasick Steve and Buddy Guy.
