When it came to her wedding day, Whitney Bischoff caught a lucky break with some especially compliant weather.
“It was sunny and warm and perfect,” says former Bachelor contestant Bischoff, who wed Ricky Angel at the luxurious Wequassett Resort on Cape Cod on Saturday. “I really do feel like that was my mom’s hand in this. The whole day was everything I dreamed it would be.”
Sunny skies weren’t the only thing the couple’s 150 guests — including fellow Bachelor alums Kaitlyn Bristowe, Shawn Booth, Carly Waddell and Evan Bass — enjoyed at the celebration, which was planned by Always Yours Events.

Whitney Bischoff has found her happy ending.
The former Bachelor contestant married her boyfriend of two years, sales manager Ricky Angel, in an ocean view ceremony Saturday at the luxury Wequassett Resort on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
The fertility nurse, 32, who was once engaged to former Bachelor Chris Soules (they split in 2015), walked down the aisle to “My Old Kentucky Home,” a tribute to her Southern roots.
Bischoff wore a satin column gown that she designed with Audrey Grant Bridal and carried a bouquet of blush, white and peach blooms from The Wild Dahlia, including a single Stargazer lily, her late mother Carol’s favorite flower.

Ann Blyth today: Light songs and heavy drama on TCM Ann Blyth, a 1940s Universal leading lady best remembered for her Oscar-nominated performance as Joan Crawford’s cute-but-sociopathic teenage daughter in Warner Bros.’ Mildred Pierce, is Turner Classic Movies’ "Summer Under the Stars" star on Friday, August 16, 2013. Note: Today, Ann Blyth, one of the earliest surviving Oscar nominees in the acting categories, turns 85 years old. (See: “Ann Blyth Movies: TCM Schedule.”) (Photo: Ann Blyth ca. 1955.) First, the good news: Ann Blyth is a likable, talented actress and singer, and it’s great that TCM is dedicating a whole day to her movies. The bad news: As mentioned above, Ann Blyth was mostly (1944-1952) a Universal star; TCM is presenting only one of Blyth’s Universal movies, Brute Force (1947), which has been shown before. In other words, not a chance of finally having the opportunity to catch Ann Blyth in B...

Until the day he died, I always called him "Daddy." He was Walter Harry Ebert, born in Urbana in 1902 of parents who had emmigrated from Germany. His father, Joseph, was a machinist working for the Peoria & Eastern Railway, known as the Big Four. Daddy would take me out to the Roundhouse on the north side of town to watch the big turntables turning steam engines around. In our kitchen, he always used a knife "your grandfather made from a single piece of steel."
I never met my grandparents, and that knife is the only thing of theirs I own. Once when I was visiting my parents' graves, I wandered over to my grandparents' graves, where we'd often left flowers on Memorial Day. I realized consciously for the first time, although I must have been told, that my grandfather was named Joseph. My middle name.
What have I inherited from those...
