Boris Grebenshchikov was born on November 27, 1953 in Leningrad, RSFSR, USSR [now St. Petersburg, Russia]. He is a composer and actor, known for Assa (1987), Brother (1997) and Urod (1993).
One of the most important figures in Russian rock music, he founded his band, Aquarium, in Leningrad in 1972, after hearing The Beatles on Voice of America.
