James Michael Tyler, best known for his recurring role as Central Perk manager Gunther on Friends, died Sunday morning following a years-long battle with Stage 4 prostate cancer, the actor’s rep confirmed to TVLine. He was 59 years old.
“The world knew him as Gunther (the seventh “Friend”), but Michael’s loved ones knew him as an actor, musician, cancer-awareness advocate and loving husband,” his family and long-time manager wrote in a statement. “Michael loved live music, cheering on his Clemson Tigers, and would often find himself in fun and unplanned adventures. If you met him once you made a friend for life.

It’s fair to say that few would claim Jennifer Aniston to be a great actress, but she is a bonafide movie star in her own right, gaining fame as Rachel Greene on the hit TV show Friends and then graduating to Hollywood by way of a glut of romantic comedies that varied widely in quality.
Though recent years have seen the actress smartly dirty her image up a little, she’s still a dependable genre movie lead, as evidenced by her casting in We’re the Millers, which hits UK cinemas today.
With her share of good and bad performances over the years, it’s safe to say that Aniston is an easy subject for a list like this, and so without any further ado, let’s dive into 5 awesome Jennifer Aniston performances, and 5 that absolutely sucked…

Could this be another case of good girl gone bad? We adore Jennifer Aniston for all her Good Girl niceness (trust us, Rachel Greene and her so-trendy tresses will always have a special place in our hearts), but it seems like Jen's flirting with the dark side these days—and we think it's delish! We gotta wonder tho if Jen's newest dude, Justin Theroux, is behind this nice-to-naughty transformation. Could his bad boy charm be rubbing off on our fave babe? 'Cause Jenny seems to be extra spicy these days—and we're not the only ones who think so! "She's naughtier now that she's been in years!" a source close to J.A. spills. "She is noticeably more fun...

Update 29/04/11: I've just returned home from work to witness the rather embarassing mess for everyone involved that is parts of the comments section. I will stress this is a competition that means nothing to your show, and you can happily go about watching it with different opinions to others. I doubt that the writers of Supernatural or any other show will see this and go "You know what, over on SpoilerTV 3500 people wanna see Dean & Castiel together, so let's do it." Instead of pointless and pathetic moaning, how about heading to a different post or even better recruiting friends of your cause to vote for someone else. The trick with a competition is that often you rout for different sides. What I've read through below will Not happen again, and if there is more posts/arguments which we deem against site policy and code, we will instantly eliminate the...

Don't have a lot of time to write today, but yesterday we saw River Tam pull off a really impressive victory over an Abby Sciuto who never really got going, managing less than 1000 votes to River's near 7000. It certainly is looking very good for firefly at this time, it's totals something that only Dean Winchester & Elena Gilbert have managed so far. :P Also winning was Spike, who easily saw off Chloe Sullivan, and makes you wonder how Buffy herself has flopped so badly in the competition, losing in round one to Sookie Stackhouse.
Today we have the might of 'Dexter' Morgan taking on the much lighter, but still very popular Rachel Greene of 'Friends.' Also we have Malcolm Reynolds, who will be hoping that the 'Firefly' fans of yesterday stick around to help him beat leader of the 'V' resistance Erica Evans. It's gonna be good. Better...

Goodbye Damon. That's got to be the words of yesterday, as another of the bottom half of the brackets favourite characters plummeted out of the competition to Olivia Dunham, keeping 'Fringe's' hopes pushing forward into round 3, and leaving Elena to fight for 'The Vampire Diaries.' Also, it all appeared to be going smoothly for Chuck Bartowski, however a late surge by Liz Lemon saw 'Chuck' leave the competition, and '30 Rock' to cling on in with a very impressive victory. So perhaps two surprising results today, but based on the comments from yesterday's poll, a popular one amongst the people.
Today we have four characters I have to say I know very little about at all. Jack Bauer's defeat came at the hands of River Tam, one of the 'Firefly' crew, and that stands her in good stead against 'NCIS's' only hope for success, in Abby Sciuto. Following tat we have John Locke's defeater,...

Round 2 gets underway today with the number of polls in the day being shortened from 4 to 2. In the last round of round one, we saw strong victories for Dexter Morgan, Rachel Greene, Malcolm Reynolds & Erica Evans. Elizabeth Mitchell sees both of her characters reach round two, making her the most successful actor/actress in the competition.
Today our two polls are mouth-wateringly good, with Lost challenging The X-Files, and then Supernatural taking on Veronica Mars. The battle comes in the form of Fox Mulder vs. Sun Hwa Kwon, and then Dean Winchester taking on Veronica Mars herself.
Also keep upto date with the competition and/or ask questions by following me on twitter. I'll also post some of my reviews, writing updates & other bits & bobs, more often than not TV and Film based. I'm at: http://twitter.com/AdDHarris

Sorry for the delays today folks, but it's been a very busy day. Interesting though as in one of my screenwriting classes the teacher recited the entirety of Back to the Future, line by line, shot by shot from memory as we studied script structure. It was majorly impressive. But anyhow, I digress as we move onto the final day of Round One, and we have lost our first Lost character, someone I had in the semi-finals, John Locke. This half of the draw for me is buggered as I had a House vs. Locke semi finals, which is now not possible. This half of the draw now feels a lot more open for another Vampire Diaries or Smallville infiltration into the final couple of rounds. Damon Salvatore & Clark Kent must be laughing. If they were real...... :P
However we have some formidable characters entering the competition today, and after...

Hollywood, CA, United States (NewsBahn) - She might make it look like she despises the paparazzi sometimes, but actress Jennifer Aniston says there are positive aspects to being famous, even if that means being recognized each time she walks down a street. The former Rachel Greene says fame has given her the opportunity to "give back."
According to Rte news, Aniston says, "I think the positives are always going to outweigh the negatives."
"I think in anything we do in life, in any career there is going to be positives and negatives."
She continues: "Today is a really kind of obvious form of the positive and just everything that we can do creatively and everything we are able to do because of having public awareness, public personas, affords us a lot of freedom to give back."...

ER said goodbye last night. As you might expect, the two-hour episode was filled with medical drama from start to finish. The faces have certainly changed over the years but castmembers like Scott Grimes, Parminder Nagra, Linda Cardellini, John Stamos, David Lyons, Mekhi Phifer, and Angela Bassett have kept the legacy alive.
Though much of the final episode of ER focuses on personal stories, there are plenty of plenty of references to storylines and characters of days gone by. George Clooney and Julianna Margulies don't return for the last installment but Eriq La Salle, Laura Innes, Sherry Stringfield, Noah Wyle, and Alex Kingston do. It's certainly nice to see their faces in the opening credits once again. Rachel Greene (Hallee Hirsh), the daughter of the late Dr. Greene (Anthony Edwards), returns to help keep her Dad's memory alive. Longtime minor characters like Haleh (Yvette Freeman), Frank (Troy Evans), Chuney (Laura Ceron...

Called "And In The End...", the finale sees a new medical facility for the underprivileged being opened and old friends return to show their support. Gates treats a teenager with alcohol poisoning after he and his friends play a drinking game. Sam is surprised when she receives a special gift for her birthday.
Apart from familiar faces like Noah Wyle, Eriq La Salle and Julianna Margulies, the finale will give a flashback to Anthony Edwards' character Dr. Greene who had died in the 179th episode, through the appearance of his daughter, Rachel Greene. Rachel (Yvonne Zima) is a med-student who picks...
