- Artur Guttmann was born on August 27, 1891 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary [now Austria]. He was a composer and actor, known for Looping the Loop (1928), Ein Prinz verliebt sich (1932) and Traum von Schönbrunn (1932). He died on September 3, 1945 in Hollywood, California, USA.
- Gutmann was brought to the U.S. in 1937 by the MGM Studios and served as musical director and composer for a number of films including 1938's, The Great Waltz (1938).
