Exclusive: Rtg Features (Alaskan Nets) and Msm (The Last Dance) have tapped David Charles Rodrigues (Neymar: The Perfect Chao) to direct a new feature doc about the high-scoring NBA trio of Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin—collectively known as Run Tmc—and how they set the stage for the present-day dynasty of the world-champion Golden State Warriors, led by Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
Led by Hall of Fame coach Don Nelson, Run Tmc showcased “Nellie Ball” and ushered in the modern NBA. While the two brief seasons that Hardaway, Richmond and Mullin played together from 1989-1991 didn’t yield any championships, they birthed life-long friendships. Billed as “the most fun fun sports doc of all time”, the as-yet-untitled feature will be a three-man weave combining basketball, hip-hop, the Bay Area and late-’80s/early-’90s nostalgia.
Mason Gordon will produce for Msm, with Rtg Features acting as the studio.

Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union stepped out for a very special date night at the Miami heat game in Florida on Saturday night. The NBA game doubled as Dwyane's jersey retirement ceremony, and everything seemed to be going smoothly as they watched his former team take on the Cleveland Cavaliers - that is, until a ball came flying at them while they were sitting courtside. Luckily, Dwyane and Gabrielle's quick reflexes kicked in, and nobody was hurt, but Gabrielle did end up spilling a bit of her drink on Dwyane's suit.
The two later laughed off the incident on Instagram, with Dwyane writing, "Life Comes At You Fast! Read The Bottom...

He's pushin' 50 ... but Tim Hardaway says there's no way in hell his 23-year-old NBA son could cross him over -- telling TMZ Sports he still dominates his kid when it comes to handlin' the rock. In fact, Hardaway says he's still the Greatest Of All Time when it comes to pulling off the move that he basically invented during his NBA career. Oh, and since Tim Sr.'s also a coach with the Pistons ... and...

It was a late night for Rihanna. The singer arrived at N.Y.C. hotspot VIP Room at around 3 a.m. on Sunday where she danced with friends for about an hour. "She was having a great time. She sang along to a few songs and drank Coronas," says a source. The Barbados beauty was casually dressed in a crop top, ripped jeans and an oversize Chicago Bulls jacket. "She was pretty low-key and stuck to her group of friends," said the source. New York Knicks player Tim Hardaway Jr. was in a nearby booth celebrating his 22nd birthday with teammates Iman Shumpert,...

Linda Harvey attends Pride, fears AIDS, David Hasselhoff shills for coffee, Andrew Keenan-Bolger hits the right notes in his skivvies.
Tim Hardaway was the first signer of the Florida marriage equality petition. Hardaway made headlines a few years ago saying that he didn’t like gay people and was homophobic. He did some image rehab to become an equality supporter after the backlash. On a side note, I met him a few times when I was working in Florida, and found him to be a very unpleasant man. While I appreciate the support, based on personal experience, I’m not buying it.
A 20-year-old man is in jail after shooting a man at the St. Peteresburg Pride festival. He came to Pride to let the gays know exactly what he thought of him before shooting a man with a Bb gun. Thankfully, the victim wasn’t seriously injured.

"I apologize to anyone who was offended."
Aah, that passive-aggressive non-apology apology. We've become used to seeing it in press releases after celebrity f**k-ups, but now the world seems to have caught on to how meaningless a statement it is.
These days, it's not enough to just go through the motions. In 2011 we require more than a token statement when a celeb tries to convince us that something was "taken out of context," or is "not what's in my heart."
Tracy Morgan is the latest apologetic celeb, and he seems to be working the hell out of his apology cycle, from meeting with GLAAD and Glbt teens, to loving a hypothetical gay son, to going back to the scene of his anti-gay tirade to apologize there.
His eagerness to make amends means he's either truly sincere in his apology ... or he's scared sh*tless about the future of his career.

I admire the gay community. Unlike any minority group in the 21st century, the Lgbt (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community refuses to accept bigotry. When a rapper (Bow Wow), an actor (Isaiah Washington), or a sports figure (Tim Hardaway), makes a homophobic slur, the gays see to it that an apology is issued. Hardaway and Washington still haven't recovered from the great gay wrath...

Monday was National Coming Out Day. The Proposition 8 lawsuit sits in waiting, as the case for same-sex marriage in California has a pending hearing at a federal court of appeals before possibly moving on to the Supreme Court. The U.S. military's "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy is its own political firestorm at the moment and is on the cusp of abolishment. New York gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino mouths off that "your children" would be much better off if they are not "brainwashed into thinking that homosexuality is an equally valid and successful option." A sobering rash of recent suicides among youngsters reminds us that bullying, lack of tolerance, and the notion that being gay is bad are still far too prevalent in our society.
Thus, it seems an appropriate time to highlight that same lack of tolerance that has dismayingly infected the world of major league sports. Why should it matter where the NBA,...

A record number of celebrities came out in 2009, making it that much easier for the next one.
Gay celebrities used to mostly follow one of two formulas for coming out:
1. Get caught in an personal situation by a tabloid, i.e. Danny Pintauro
2. Get tired of not being out and call up favorite lifestyle magazine to break the news gently to their three fans who hadn’t already succumbed to the rumors. i.e. Ellen DeGeneres, Lance Bass
But something new happened in 2009, because the path to a celebrity's closet door became as varied as it is for those of us in the real world. We had the “I was always out” or the “casual mention” coming out. Then we added the “bring the boyfriend to an event” coming out which took the nonchalant route. And perhaps then there is most interesting: the “product tie-in” which, as far as I know,...
