Chicago – The concept is a hot tub, that also acts as a time machine. It practically writes itself! The too-meticulous plot of “Hot Tub Time Machine 2” still delivers a decent amount of laughs, although most of them fall under the crude and rude category. Better a cheap laugh than no laugh.

It is almost impossible to critique such a film, because it basically throws every possible joke against the wall, and a number of them stick. The plot has a Dada-like surrealism to it, going in such different directions that it becomes useless to try and follow at some point, and the characters have the same lack of consistency. Check out two interview clips from MGM's "Hot Tub Time Machine" which opens March 26th. The first is with Rob Corddy (plays Lou), Craig Robinson (as Nick) and Clark Duke (Jacob). The other is with Crispin Glover who plays Phil. The hilarious-looking film is helmed by Steve Pink ("Accepted") from the writing by John Heald, Sean Anders and John Morris. This reunites Duke with Anders and Morris who wrote the script for the funny roadtrip comedy "Sex Drive." Anders helmed that film. The film is frontlined by John Cusack and also includes Lizzy Caplan, Chevy Chase, Sebastian Stan and Lyndsy Fonseca.
