- An accomplished dancer as well as an ice skating professional, Katherine was a Silver Medal winner of the 1982 USA International Ballet Competition, held in Jackson, Mississippi, USA, once every four years. She was no older than 13 at the time.
- She is a former principal dancer with the Vienna State Opera Ballet Company, Les Ballets de Monte Carlo and the London Festival Ballet.
