Micah Herman was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. While
earning his undergraduate degree at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts,
he wrote and directed the anti-war drama Empty (2003), based on the
experiences of his grandmother, a survivor of Auschwitz and the Death
Marches.
Micah has been the recipient of over thirty awards and honors, including a Student Emmy Award, best film and screenplay at the NYU First Run Festival, and an invitation to the Sundance Director's Lab.
Micah resides in Los Angeles where he is developing film and TV projects for various studios, while also working as a commercial director for high profile clients such as Vitamin Water, PlayStation and many others.
