Paul Mason Howard(1909-1975)

Songwriter ("Shrimp Boats"), bandleader, entertainer, composer and
author. He led a jazz band in 1924, and appeared in vaudeville and
night clubs, later writing for newspapers and advertising agencies,
also composing musical commercials. Joining ASCAP in 1953, his other
popular-song compositions include "A Cowboy Needs a Horse", "The Gandy
Dancers Ball", "Snow Shoe Thompson", "Ninety-Nine Years Is a Long
Time", "Baby All I Need Is You", "Catch Me Fish", "Milk Train", "Hole
in the Sky", and "Zither Blues".
