*full disclosure: a screener of this film was provided by Breaking Glass Pictures.
Director: John Huckert.
Writers: John Huckert, John Matkowsky and Dan Acre.
The genre of the erotic thriller seems to have past, much like the '90s. Yet, director John Huckert (Dinocroc) breathes some new life into this style of filmmaking by reducing the soft core porn and infusing his latest film, Strangers Online, with an interesting story line. Character Hollis Parker (Noel Palomaria) has lost his wife to murder and he relives this loss through sexual indiscretions. The result is a lot of nudity, a satisfying conclusion and a film that takes a look at a side of life that is rarely seen.
And sometimes watching peeping toms, narcissists, and obsessive characters is a lot better managed through digital rather than reality. Parker is a late night shock jock, who deals with a following of internet junkies.

Strangers Online Who doesn't love a good erotic thriller? When an erotic thriller is able to combine sophistication with sizzling sexuality and the star presence of its actors, they usually are able to score a home run. Some very good examples of this is Basic Instinct which made Sharon Stone a household name. Or how about Against All Odds which helped to turn Rachel Ward into a megastar? Breaking Glass Pictures which has been pioneers of late in the low budget horror and thriller world, picking up a slate of interesting titles, is getting ready to premier their latest title, Strangers Online, in Pasadena.
John Huckert’s erotic thriller “Strangers Online” will have its world theatrical premiere on June 24th. It will screen at the Laemmle Sunset 5 in West Hollywood and the Laemmle Playhouse 7 in Pasadena. The film, from the makers of the 90’s cult hit “Hard” follows an Internet...
