Chris Evans saved the world (and even the universe) multiple times as Captain America. But in his latest Apple TV+ action film “Ghosted,” it’s Ana de Armas who’s doing the rescuing.
“It was great. I mean, we’ve all seen Ana be badass; she was so good in [‘No Time to Die’],” Evans told Variety at the New York premiere of “Ghosted” on Tuesday night. “It was nice to be the damsel in distress. It was nice to need saving — primarily because I didn’t have to sweat during the action sequences.”
Directed by Dexter Fletcher, “Ghosted” follows hopelessly romantic Cole (Evans), who falls head over heels for the enigmatic Sadie (de Armas). When Sadie seemingly ghosts him, Cole follows her to London as a romantic gesture, only to discover that the girl of his dreams is a CIA agent on assignment.

A grand romantic gesture turns into a dangerous international adventure for Chris Evans and Ana de Armas in the trailer for Ghosted, released Monday.
The stars lead the Apple TV+ film centered on Cole (Evans) who, after having a date with Sadie (de Armas), is left confused when she ghosts him and doesn’t respond to his texts. When Evans’ Cole decides to travel to London to surprise Sadie while she works, he makes a shocking discovery that there’s more to Sadie than he realized: She’s a secret agent. The two are then swept away on an international adventure to save the world.
“You got me kidnapped and tortured, all after one date,” Evans’ Cole tells de Armas’ Sadie as they run away from a car that just exploded.
“You’re the one who flew to London,” she tells him, only for him to reiterate, “It was a romantic gesture!

Paramount Plus has released the official trailer for “The Offer,” the upcoming drama miniseries that chronicles the making of “The Godfather.”
Set in the early 1970s, “The Offer” stars Miles Teller as Albert S. Ruddy, who is hired as the producer for the film adaptation of the best-selling novel “The Godfather,” written by Mario Puzo (played by Patrick Gallo). While the series faces typical behind the scenes tension between its director Francis Ford Coppola (Dan Fogler) and producing team, the filming grows more complicated when mob boss Joe Colombo (Giovanni Ribisi) signs on to help assist in the production. In addition to Teller, Gallo, Fogler and Ribisi, the series will also star Matthew Goode, Juno Temple, Burn Gorman and Colin Hanks.
