Are horror filmmakers running out of titles? If the generic title of The Luring is anything to go by, I would suggest that they are… and it’s a shame when good films are hidden behind generic titles.
The Luring kicks off with a nice young family viewing a holiday home in Vermont, but of course there was a tragedy at the house, that had little to do with the hammy acting of the estate agent. We then skip forward to our protagonist, who suffers from amnesia around his childhood, and seems to be related to his time in the family holiday home. The two things are connected. We also discover that, for a time,...

I just finished watching It Watches, an independent horror/thriller movie which is coming VOD shortly, and I have got to say it has been a while since a movie completely pulled the rug out from under me like this film did! Honestly, I’ve seen enough movies to think I am always one step ahead of the film I’m watching, and for the most part I am, but I have to say this one outsmarted me. Which makes me very Very happy.
To director Dave Parker (The Hills Run Red) I tip my cap. First of all because I am getting tired of the found footage format. It feels like every horror movie these days has got to have that found footage/CCTV feel to it. However this...

Fright Rags travels to a place that is deceptively "so wholesome, so squeaky clean you could only find it on TV" with their new collection of shirts based on the cult ’90s series Eerie, Indiana. In today's Horror Highlights, we also have a look at trailers and release details for Dave Parker's It Watches and Nathan Williams' If There's a Hell Below.
Eerie, Indiana Shirts from Fright Rags: Press Release: "Despite only airing for a single season, Eerie, Indiana made an impact on a generation who grew up in the '90s. Alongside shows like Are You Afraid of the Dark? and Goosebumps, it served as a gateway into the horror genre for many kids. Journey back to the center of weirdness with Fright-Rags' Eerie, Indiana collection.

People looking for a spooky getaway from the Comic-Con madness would do well to check out Coldwater at the show. Recently we sat down with director Dave Parker to get the skinny on what fans should expect from the film.
So, are you ready for Comic-Con?
Dp: "Yeah it's kind of a mad dash to get some last minute stuff done before then. Little things here and there."
The Hills Run Red was a much gorier slasher film than Coldwater. Did you want to shift away from that on purpose?
Dp: "It was a conscious choice between me and my partner on the film. We wanted to build more tension and suspense. I feel like that aspect of Hills could have been stronger. We're not completely dry of blood and guts though!"
And what are you showing at the Con?
Dp: "We're going to show the trailer that's online now.

Dave Parker, a name you may not know, but a name you should. You see Parker directed what was one of the best films shown at the London Film4 Frightfest back in 2009 – The Hills Run Red – and now he’s back with another movie, the independent horror flick Coldwater.
Starring Ivan Djurovic (24), Rick Irwin (30 Minutes or Less), Sanny Van Heteren (Unknown) and James Duval (Donnie Darko), the film is set to be unveiled at this years San Diego Comic Con, but before then we have the films official Sdcc poster and trailer. Check them both out after the synopsis:
Andre (Djurovic) recovering from a recent accident agrees to help his friend Robert (Irwin) by taking over a house-sitting job at an unusual home nestled in the heart of Coldwater Canyon. As the day turns into night, Andre faces strange occurrences that lead him to believe he is not there alone,...

I’m beginning to think we should have a special section dedicated solely to annual Comic-Con coverage. More awesome coverage comes our way, yielded yet again by the legendary convention and this time we’re finally getting a look at Dave Parker’s latest chiller, Coldwater. Parker and Ivan Djurovic (another cool cat, may I add) craft the screenplay. Djurovic (Under the Bed), Rick Irwin (30 Minutes or Less), Sanny Van Heteren (Unknown), James Duval (Independence Day) and Cassandra Church (Nightstalker) star.

Indie thriller ColdWater just released a creepy new trailer for the haunted house flick. Andre takes over a housesitting job from his friend Robert. The house is enormous and set within Hollywood's secluded Coldwater Canyon neighborhood. Naturally, this isn't your typical housesitting gig, and Andre begins to suspect there is someone - or something - with him in the house. ColdWater doesn't sound like much on paper, but the trailer is creepy and atmospheric. Check it out after the jump. ColdWater stars Ivan Djurovic (51), Rick Irwin (30 Minutes or Less), and Sanny Van Heteren (Hellraiser: Revelations). Djurovic wrote the script with director David Parker (The Hills Run Red). This month saw a snippet from Dave Parker's latest film Coldwater hit the web. Less of a teaser and more of a mini-clip, the preview didn't offer much in the way of filling viewers in on the plot. Today, however, a trailer has been sent our way, along with a one-sheet. Ivan Djurovic, Rick Irwin, Sanny Van Heteren and James Duval star in this thriller about Andre (Djurovic), a man recovering from a recent accident who agrees to help his friend Robert (Irwin) by taking over a house-sitting job at an unusual home nestled in the heart of Coldwater Canyon. As the day turns into night, Andre faces strange occurrences that lead him to believe he is not there alone, and someone or something is watching him. We always say it ... the less you know about a movie, the better. The journey of discovery can be the best part of the trip, man. Case in point: a new teaser clip for Dave Parker's (The Hills Run Red) latest film, Coldwater.
Clocking in at just over thirty seconds, the clip teaches us nothing about the film, except that someone is about to really disappoint their grandmother, and if you watch closely... well, you'll see.
The film is being billed as a psychological suspense thriller dealing with one man housesitting, unaware of who or what might be with him.
Coldwater stars Ivan Djurovic, Rick Irwin, Sanny Van Heteren, and James Duval and was written by Parker and Djurovic. The flick will be making its debut at the Big Bear Horro-Fi Film Festival.
For more information and even a few stills, make sure to check out the Official Coldwater Facebook Page.
