Steven Johnson is the EVP, Head of Physical Production for Alcon Entertainment. Johnson oversees physical production for all Alcon Film, Television, and Documentary projects; including the highly anticipated series Blade Runner 2099 for Amazon Prime; the animated feature film, Garfield starring Chris Pratt and Samuel L. Jackson for Sony Pictures; the feature film Rendezvous With Rama, based on the Arthur C. Clarke classic novel, directed by Denis Villeneuve; and the upcoming documentary series based on legendary basketball coach John Thompson.
Johnson came to Alcon from MGM, where he was the Senior Vice President of Physical Production for MGM International Television. At MGM Johnson also served as a Co-Executive Producer on Last Light, starring Matthew Fox for Peacock, a Co-Producer on the hit coming-of-age series El Fin Del Amor for Amazon Latin America, and Harlan Coben's Shelter for Amazon Prime, which recently wrapped production in New Jersey. Prior to that, Johnson was the VP of TV Physical Production at MRC Studios, where he worked on such shows as Ozark and The Great. He was also a VP of Production at 21st Century Fox, as well as having worked for Tobey Maguires former production company, Material Pictures where he Line Produced the film Z for Zachariah, starring Margot Robbie, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Chris Pine. As a Producer, his career has run the gamut of film, television, documentaries, and several years producing projects for Lady Gaga, including her Monster Ball concert film for HBO, A Very Gaga Thanksgiving for ABC, and a handful of her award-winning music videos.
