The story of Chester DeWayne Turner unfolded on "Very Bad Men," freeing a man convicted of three murders along the way. Turner was in prison on an eight-year stint for rape when investigators took another look at the killings attributed to David Allen Jones. DNA evidence instead linked two of those murders to Turner, and he found himself facing a much stiffer sentence than eight years.
Jones had also been convicted of an unrelated rape charge from 2000, and since he'd already served out that sentence, he was released. The third murder couldn't be tested, but other evidence pointed to Turner as well. In fact, to date, Turner has been convicted in the murders of ten different women -- as well as an unborn child -- mostly within a small area of South Los Angeles between 1987 and 1998. He was sentenced to death in 2007, but the trials continue.
