Six strangers wake up in the same room and are forced to take part in an experiment where only one will survive. They have two hours to make their decision as a group in The Eyes, a new suspense thriller from director Robbie Bryan. With The Eyes now playing in select theaters, we had a chance to catch up with Bryan for our latest Q&A feature to discuss the movie's incredible journey to getting made, the "visual ballet" of the movie's most challenging scene, and much more.
Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions for us, Robbie. What made you want to bring this screenplay by Robert T. Roe’s to life on the big screen?
Robbie Bryan: It was back in early 2014. I had been trying to put together this feature film called Black Hat, which is a sort of Little Miss Sunshine set in...

“A movie with a fowl bite!”
When Luther (Carlton Williams, in his only role) was a young boy, he witnessed a group of rowdy locals egging on the local Geek (Tom Brittingham, also in his only role) to bite the head off a chicken. This combined with him getting his teeth accidentally knocked out by one of said locals in the ruckus leads young Luther to develop a taste for blood. Naturally, this turns him in to a bloodthirsty psycho and paves the way for a life of crime. After serving 20 years and thanks to prison board member Mrs. Butler (Karen Maurise, Dark Skies), a much older and balder Luther (Edward Terry, The Children) is set free. Armed with a set of homemade metal teeth, Luther...

Nrg Energy is installing an electric car charging infrastructure in Houston, the first privately funded network of its kind in the U.S.
The U.S. electric car industry is getting a jolt: Nrg Energy, Inc. is bringing the nation’s first privately funded electric vehicle charging network to Houston. The New Jersey-based company announced this morning the launch of eVgo, its electric car charging infrastructure and at-home chargers. Though other companies have plans for charging networks in D.C., Phoenix, and other cities, Nrg’s is the first that’s entirely privately funded, according to the company.
The charging network is an effort to break what Nrg CEO David Crane calls the "chicken and egg cycle around electric vehicles." To let drivers stop worrying which will come first, the electric car or the electric car infrastructure, Nrg is taking the first step and investing $10 million into Houston's public system.

The Eleventh Doctor has debuted in Australia to excellent ratings on both TV and the internet. TV Tonight reports that The Eleventh Hour averaged 1.033 million viewers in the five major capital cities, despite stiff competition from the commercial networks, including the final of The Biggest Loser. It was the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's top-rating program of the day, rating higher than its popular Sunday 7pm news (By comparison, Part Two of The End of Time only rated 840,000 viewers in the five cities back in February). The episode and the corresponding Confidential Cutdown have also debuted on the ABC's iView service. TV Tonight reports that 'The Eleventh Hour', which appeared on iView almost two days before its televison debut, was also a big internet hit for the national broadcaster, having 112,000 views over the weekend (By way of comparison, the iView service had a total of 224,000 visitors, 540,000 visits and 2.8 million page...

Several international news sources have reported that Australian television network Seven Network buckled under pressure from conservative groups and will show a watered down version of a same-sex kiss between police officer Charlie Buckton deck hand Joey Collins tomorrow night on soap opera Home and Away.
Esther Anderson (Charlie) and Kate Bell (Joey)
However, according to Backtothebay.net, a Home and Away fansite, the kiss will air as planned.
As we reported earlier this month, Charlie and Joey’s relationship was slated to develop from platonic to romantic over the course of five weeks. Although we will not know whether the uncut version will air until tomorrow, there is no question that news of the upcoming kiss has caused steam to fly out of some conservatives’ ears.
Seven's current affairs show Today Tonight did a story that featured a conservative lobby group called Pro-Family Perspectives complaining about a so-called gay agenda.
