- Gertrud Kückelmann was born on January 3, 1929 in Munich, Germany. She died on January 17, 1979 in Munich, Bavaria, West Germany.

- German stage and screen actress, the daughter of a physician. Initially slated for a career as a dancer, she first studied ballet at the Bavarian State Opera. She performed on stage from the age of 16, trained under the noted actor Friedrich Domin. During the 1950's, she matured into a leading actress of the theatre, appearing in important plays by Colette and Anouilh, at the same time starring in melodramas on the screen.
