- Graduated from Harvard when he was only 19.
- Clerked for U.S. Supreme Court Justices Sandra Day O'Connor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg 2008-2009. Had previously clerked for Judge Thomas Ambro of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit.
- While at Harvard, edited the Law Review and became the first student fellow of the Berkman Center for Internet and Society.
- Lost his vision gradually between the ages of 13 and 25. Could still see shapes and colors in his late 20s and was able to play poker by having a bright light that shined on his cards.
