- Mario Maldesi was born in 1925. He was an actor, known for Amarcord (1973), Roma (1972) and Oci ciornie (1987). He died on September 5, 2012 in Arezzo, Tuscany, Italy.
- Considered Italy's best dubbing director. Supervised the post-synchronization for the films of Federico Fellini and Luchino Visconti. For foreign films, he directed the dubbing for the last five films of Stanley Kubrick at the director's personal request, plus such blockbusters as the original "Star Wars" trilogy, Ghostbusters (1984), Die Hard (1988), and many others.
