Actor Michael Nyqvist, who played journalist Mikael Blomkvist in the Swedish "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" films, has been cast in the dramedy "My So-Called Father." The Swedish production is written and directed by Ulf Malmros, and co-stars Vera Vitali. Here's an official synopsis:Self-involved and arrogant Martin (Nyqvist) suffers a stroke and no longer remembers who he is. His estranged daughter Malin (Vitali) seizes the opportunity and decides to create the father she always longed for. But when Martin’s memory starts to return, a conflict arises between his new idyllic but made-up life and his old one that is filled with betrayal.Location shooting in Sweden recently began on the film, which is scheduled to be released in Scandanavia by Disney/Buena Vista in 2014. Exclusive clips will be screened at the Cannes market by Bob Film Sweden Ab, selling to all other territories.
