Jason Marchi

Jason Marchi is first a writer of fiction and non-fiction with over 800 publishing credits in newspapers and magazines. He is also an
independent film producer with business partner Mike Timm working under the Omicron World Entertainment LLC banner.
Jason's first book for children, The Legend of Hobbomock: The Sleeping Giant (2011) became the Barnes & Noble regional bestseller in Connecticut. It was followed by the picture storybook The Growing Sweater (2014), which won 11 different awards, three of them gold medals.
Jason was the Founder and Executive Director of the former New Century Writer Awards contest and educational organization that operated between 1998 and 2002. With Managing Director, Mike Timm, New Century Writer awarded over $65,000 in cash and scholarships to 100 writers during its years of operation.
Through the New Century Writer Awards program, Jason Marchi was the first industry professional to recognize the writing talents of Joe Hill (20th Century Ghost). New Century Writer was closely associated with Francis Ford Coppola's Zoetrope:All-Story, as well as several top Hollywood studios and independent producers.
