Mauro was born in Sicily but came to the United States with his family
as a child. Not speaking a word of English he was given the opportunity
of a lifetime in America. Educated in some of the finest schools in Los
Angeles he obtained a B.A. degree in Marketing. With a promising
future, Mauro gave it all up for what his heart really desired, to
become an Actor.
Following drama training at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena
and the Pasadena Playhouse, he achieved lead and supporting roles in
various feature films, television shows and stage productions. As a
Filmmaker Mauro has managed to form his own production company and
executive produced the critically acclaimed independent feature
True Friends (1998)
in which he also served as one of its principal stars, winning numerous
awards.
His writing credits include the creation of a television drama "Arthur
Avenue" and several screenplays "Loving Angelina", "Una Storia Segreta"
(The Secret Story) and "Lucia". Currently polishing his latest
screenplays, Mauro resides in Whittier, California where he enjoys his
family and friends.
