- Around 1970, McGuane moved with wife Becky and son Thomas McGuane IV to Key West, Florida, where their home became a major drinking-and-partying place for writers and artists, including poet Jim Harrison, painter Russell Chatham, photographer Guy Valdene, and rock singer Jimmy Buffett.
