- St. Louis, MO native, Christy Lynn Medrano initially honed her comedic skills within the informal structure of grade school and high school classrooms, as the class cut-up and all-around merriment and mayhem instigator. She then went on to earn her BFA from UCLA's Theater Department. During her college days, Medrano started her stand-up career that led her to perform for universities across the country. Simultaneously, Christy acted on television and film "any time the forces of nature will it to happen," she wryly stated. - Subject of an as-yet unreleased documentary, C Level (2009), about her initially successful battle with breast cancer, with which she was diagnosed in 2005. In a tragic postscript Medrano passed away in November 2008 of leukemia, a rare side-effect of cancer therapy. She was 38 years old.
