- In 1966 he joined the cast of Petticoat Junction (1963) as the dashing, deep-voiced, hunky pilot Steve Elliott, who crash-lands in Hooterville and is nursed back to health by the lovely countrified trio Billie Jo (Meredith MacRae), Betty Jo (Linda Henning)and Bobbie Jo Bradley (Lori Saunders). Much was made out of which daughter would eventually walk down the aisle with him. Linda's Betty Jo, the tomboy who showed the least interest, was the eventual winner. A real-life romance was set off in the process, and a year after the two characters married on the show, Mike and Linda married in real life. They divorced five years later.
- Son of Don Fedderson and Tido Fedderson ("Minor" was his mother's maiden name, which he adopted as his professional surname). Older brother of Gregg Fedderson. Stepson of Yvonne Lime. Ex-son-in-law of Paul Henning and Ruth Henning.
- Made his stage debut as the male romantic lead in "The Impossible Years" with Ozzie Nelson and Harriet Nelson.
- An early interest in professional baseball led to an avid interest in golf in later years. He had been a member of the Hollywood Hackers, an organization of show business amateurs who travel and play golf while entertaining at the same time. Mike was a singer and had recorded two albums on the sly.
- Enjoyed a nice stretch in the '80s as one of Susan Lucci's various paramours on the soap All My Children (1970), not to mention briefer stints on other soaps, including Another World (1964) and As the World Turns (1956).
- "Minor" was his mother's maiden name.
