General Hospital (Gh) spoilers tease that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is through listening to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
Jason just discovered that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) originally paid Clement Moore (Phillip Cass), Sonny’s pharmacist, to alter Sonny’s medication so that Sonny was only receiving about a quarter of his bi-polar medication.
Jason first went to Anna with this news, and she begged him not to tell Sonny so she could get to Valentin first.
General Hospital Spoilers – Laura Collins Gets Bad News
Meanwhile, Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) received a call from the doctors at Silver Waters, the long-term facility where her daughter Lulu Spencer (last played by Emme Rylan) is being cared for.
After being in a coma for several years, Lulu seems to be taking a turn for the worse. Laura demanded that Anna locate Valentin and Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) so that Charlotte can see Lulu,...

General Hospital Spoilers – Laura Collins Talks To Jack Brennan
It looks like Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) could be in the mayor’s office, as Laura Collins (Genie Francis) tells him she thinks they have a unique opportunity. Likely, they are talking about the new Wsb station Brennan’s heading up in Port Charles.
Laura’s been acquainted with the Wsb for years, since Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) first came to Port Charles.
It’s a good possibility they are talking about criminal activity in Port Charles and ways the Wsb and the Pcpd could work together to shut it all down. Of course,...

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Billy Dee Williams, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, and more in today's daily Link Tank!
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will further reveal the backstory of John Boyega's Finn.
Rey’s origins might be the biggest mystery in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but Finn is almost as much of a blank slate. When we first met John Boyega’s character in The Force Awakens he was “Fn-2187,” a stormtrooper on the run from the First Order, and that’s pretty much all we ever learned about him. Now, it turns out Episode IX will fill in the blanks of Finn’s traumatic past, though fans of the video game Star Wars: Battlefront II may already know most of the sordid details.

Star Wars actor Billy Dee Williams revealed that he is gender neutral in an interview.

MaryAnn’s quick take… There’s charm and wit in its fanciful depiction of the creative process, but the film downplays the social activism that Dickens fully embraced in his work. I’m “biast” (pro): love Dickens and A Christmas Carol
I’m “biast” (con): haven’t been the biggest fan of Dan Stevens
I have not read the source material
(what is this about? see my critic’s minifesto)
Did Charles Dickens really invent our modern observance of Christmas? Well… he certainly contributed to it, with his beloved 1843 novella A Christmas Carol bringing to it a spirit of family celebration and togetherness and moving the holiday away from its religious grounding to a more secular one focused on ecumenical kindness and generosity. But we also have Prince Albert to thank, for importing his German Yuletide customs — such as evergreens and Christmas trees — to England when he married...

Let us forego our consideration of the green unicorn problem and, obeying the dictates of the season, direct our attention to that jolly old elf, Santa Claus.
First, we’ll follow that which is not exactly required but is nonetheless highly recommended and seek to link the elf to comic books, this allegedly being a column devoted to the aforementioned magazines.
So: is Santa a comics character?
Yes and no. Research indicates that he and his cohort of elves and reindeer have never been awarded their own regular title. You could never find, tucked into your Christmas stocking, something like “The Adventures of Santa Claus” or if the comic was published by Disney, “Santa’s Funnies and Stories” or, if it appeared in the 60s and bore a Marvel colophon, maybe “The Stupendous Santa.” Santa has made – I’m taking a shot in the dark here – tens of thousands of...

Jim Glaub and Dylan Parker were getting ready to spend their first Christmas living together in their Manhattan apartment on 22nd Street when their mailbox started filling up with letters addressed to Santa Claus — letters that would lead to a global giving movement.
Having lived in the Chelsea apartment for nearly three years before Parker moved in, Glaub thought nothing of it when that first letter to little St. Nick arrived. He had been warned by the previous tenants that the address had been mistakenly receiving Santa’s mail for at least five years prior.
“They never answered them because...

You don't typically expect to get much Christmas cheer from "Orange is the New Black." For one thing, the show tends to premiere new seasons on Netflix in June or July, and for another it's a fairly intense dramedy about life behind prison walls. But the show, whose fourth season is currently set for 2016, has a holiday treat for those who like their classic tales with a dash of profanity and some violence: a rewrite of Clement Clarke Moore's poem "A Visit from St. Nicholas" (better known as "The Night Before Christmas"), performed by the entire cast, in character. It might be just the gift you or the "Orange" fan in your life is looking for this year. Check it out above. And happy holidays to us all, convicts and free men alike. It's ride or die for Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen and Anthony Mackie in the freakishly festive trailer for The Night Before.
The trio turn Clement Clarke Moore's classic poem on its head for a New York City adventure filled with karaoke, lots of drinking… and even a little cocaine.
50/50's Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen team up to play friends of a budding Hollywood superstar (Mackie), who reunite for a night of merry debauchery.
Before the night is over, Gordon-Levitt will be impersonating Miley Cyrus and poor Rogen is vomiting in the middle of a Christmas mass.
50/50's Jonathan Levine has worked with Gordon-Levitt and Rogen once again for a film co-written by Seth's producing partner Evan Goldberg.
Last Christmas, Goldberg and Rogen caused an international incident with their controversial parody of North Korea in The Interview.
The Night Before is likely to cause a little less controversy when it...

I love Christmas. It’s been my favorite time of the year as far back as I can remember – which, these days, may be last week. I think, in many ways, it was the run up to Christmas, also known as Advent, that I loved the most. It was the anticipation that made it special; what presents would we get, buying the present we would give, the Advent Wreath and the Advent Calendar. The day itself could be a bit of a let-down because it as never as good as the dream, the anticipation. How could it be? So long as it was a dream, it was perfect. The reality of something is always less than the dream of it.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… to be a woodland creature. Get into the holiday spirit with this nutty take on Clement Clarke Moore’s classic Christmas poem: “A Visit from St. Nicholas” - otherwise known as “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.” Because nothing says Christmas like mousetraps, dynamite, herds of rats, a nut heist, a dog and one angry bird. The Nut Job releases in theaters everywhere on January 17, 2014.

Documentarian Alex Gibney has pointed the spotlight on larger than life figures like Hunter S. Thompson, Julian Assange, the bigwigs of Enron, and the Pope. Now, in a new animated short, the prolific filmmaker is setting his sights on what might be his most magical subject ever: Santa Claus. Gibney provides the narration for Night Before Christmas, an animated music video by Fall On Your Sword, moniker of composer Will Bates. The short unravels as a twist on Clement Clarke Moore's “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” following an illustrated Gibney pursuing a less-than-perfect version of ol' St. Nick.

London, Oct 25: A children's book publisher has outraged the American literary community for editing a 18th-century Christmas poem by omitting any mention or image of Santa puffing on a smoking pipe.
Canadian publisher Pamela McColl changed the poem 'A Visit from St. Nicholas'-which is better known by its first line, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas,' which was written in 1823 by the late American professor Clement Clarke Moore, to "save lives and avoid influencing new smokers," she claimed.

If, like me, you’ve been lucky enough to miss the first eight seasons of Oxygen’s Bad Girls Club franchise, you might be blissfully unaware of this bloated, pustule-ridden underbelly of reality television that makes the Kardashian sisters look like Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Based on the show’s Season 9 premiere (set in Cabo San Puke-us, Mexico) , it’s clear the show’s formula is a simple one: Corral a pack of trashily dressed, trucker-mouthed she-beasts in a mansion, ply them with liquor, and wait for them tostart violently assaulting one another. Have you ever believed in something so strongly that you made it real?
William Joyce definitely has.
The artist and storyteller, who wrote the books Dinosaur Bob and George Shrinks and did character design for the movies Toy Story and Robots, wanted his daughter, Mary Katherine, and son, Jack, to have no shadow of doubt that Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy were real. So he began planting evidence — like a bad cop, or maybe the world’s best dad.

Washington — The new National Christmas Tree is settling into its new digs just south of the White House.
President Barack Obama and his family officially marked the start of the Christmas season by lighting the tree in a ceremony just after dark Thursday.
The 26-foot Colorado blue spruce was planted in March on the Ellipse, a park that lies between the White House and the National Mall. Strong winds in February toppled the previous tree, which stood in the park since 1978.
In remarks delivered during the tree-lighting ceremony, Obama urged the crowd to be generous and to help others in need during the holidays.
"In this season of hope, let's help those who need it most: the homeless, the hungry, the sick and shut-in," he said. "In this season of plenty, let's reach out to those who struggle to find work or provide for their families."
