The actress Sybil Morel joined an acting school at the drama school of the Nationaltheater Mannheim and she began a stage career which led her from Chemnitz to Berlin.
She was able to gain a foothold in the film business from 1919 and in the next years she took part in numerous silent movies.
When the sound film replaced the silent period in the cinema Sybil Morel was not able to continue her film career. After the movies "Engel im Séparée" (1930) and "Spielereien einer Kaiserin" (1930) she retired from the film business.
